The career development programme is delivered by the NBP in partnership with the Centre for Excellence in Leadership.

Career Development Workshops: Overview

To supplement the BLI’s secondment, shadowing and mentoring programmes, BME staff can access highly-focused and practical career development workshops. These seek to develop the skills and confidence of participants to achieve progression in their career. Recent workshops have focussed on helping individuals develop a range of skills including CV writing, interview, performing in assessment centres, etc.

Programme Coverage

Now is a time of change and movement, and challenges and opportunities. Many BME staff are looking to enhance their career prospects and update their skills. The workshops are for you if you are looking for a new job, reapplying for your existing job, being re-deployed, moving up, or simply if you want to take ownership of your career.

Testimonials:

"These career development programmes helped me address issues of self-confidence. It also made me realise that I was as good as my peers, that I was an effective manager and that I could become Principal one day."
