How did your organisation score

Mainly 1s - Your organisation is well on the way to effective intercultural working. What could it do to maintain and develop its capacity?

Mainly 2s - Your organisation has some way to go before it is effective at intercultural working. The issue could be consistency across
the organisation which may be effective in part. How might it build on its best practice to ensure ‘top-to-toe’ effectiveness?

Mainly 3s - Your organisation has challenges to tackle before it can be interculturally effective. How can it design an action plan
to put it on the right road? How might it use local BAME community groups to help it?

Your organisation’s self-assessment should be used as part of its regular quality improvement and quality assurance processes. It has value as a ‘one-off’ exercise, but real change happens
only when its outcomes are fed into the organisation’s regular strategic and quality processes and plans. Intercultural working is not a ‘bolt-on’, but an integral part of what
an organisation does and how it does it.

If you are a college, school or training provider, getting your approach to intercultural working right will support your organisation preparation for inspection.
