Solicitors Regulation Authority: Relationship Managers and Supervisors (Firms) - Midlands and London

Job Posted Date: 18/Jan/2012
Application Expiry Date: 10/Feb/2012
Relationship Managers and Supervisors (Firms), Location: Midlands and London

The future of regulation is taking shape

We’re changing the way we work, from the ground up. We’re focusing on outcomes and high-level principles. And building strong relationships throughout the legal sector, with everyone from sole practitioners to the biggest names in global law. This is because, ultimately, effective relationships are the key to delivering better outcomes for consumers.

This is what we want to achieve. You’ll put it all into action.

We’re recruiting Relationship Managers based in the Midlands or London, and Supervisors (Firms) based in the West Midlands. In either role, you’ll work in close partnership with regulated firms and individuals, and put our new approach to regulation into action.

Supervision is responsible for the risk-based oversight of the entire regulated community and is central to the delivery of a risk-based, outcomes-focused approach to regulation. Relationship Management is one of the tools that we use to supervise some firms using dedicated resources. The key to success will be your judgement and your ability to dig into details while remaining focused on the bigger picture and taking accountability for your own – often tough - decisions, including when enforcement might be necessary.

As well as the excitement of being part of a major change project, you’ll find that we offer varied and fascinating work, a diverse working environment and ongoing training and development opportunities. So come and help us make a difference.

Visit www.sra.org.uk/jobs to find out more and apply.

Closing date: 4pm, 10th February 2012.
