The Network welcomes the publication by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) of its discussion document 'Tackling Race Inequalities'. The Network would encourage members, friends and supporters to feed their views and feedback to the Network via our blog page and direct to the Department.

'Tackling Race Inequalites' is a wide-ranging document that sets out the Government's commitment to build strong relationships between different ethnic and cultural groups. It explores the shape of what a strategy to embed greater race equality might look like in modern Britian. The threats and opportunities represented by the current economic downturn are rightly highlighted.

The Network for Black Professionals will be contributing to the DCLG consultation and we are anxious to get your views. You can do this by contributing to our blog page  or by emailing us at enq@nbp.org.uk. To feed your views direct to the DCLG, visit www.communities.gov.uk/publications/communities/tacklingraceinequalities.
