Making 2010 the Breakthrough Year
The Network for Black Professionals is teaming up with The Women's Leadership Network to showcase an unmissable diversity conference on 26th May 2010.
The learning and skills sector needs all the talent available to meet current and future challenges, and yet black and minority ethnic (BME) staff and women continue to be under-represented at the top. This key event will focus on encouraging and supporting more BME professionals and women into senior leadership roles. Principals, governors and managers leading on equality and diversity will learn how to achieve a more diverse workforce through encouraging under-represented groups to aim high.
The day will be made up of a series of addresses from high-profile speakers and a selection of exciting workshops on subjects including Making an Impact at Interview, Coaching and Mentoring for Impact and Operating in a New Funding and Policy Context. A host of inspiring principals and leaders will be there to describe their career journeys and leadership styles and encourage more black professionals and women to aim high.
